A free animation video maker is a collection of easy-to-use tools to create videos in minutes.
They usually include things like a simple editor, a timeline, a character creator and a background designer.
Many online tools that promise the easy creation of stunning animated videos at the click of a button, even at a professional level of quality.
But is this really possible?
Can a suite of free apps really help you create professional-level videos that can rival those crafted by an animation team?
To find out, I tested these five apps:
Honestly, I think there’s a long way to go before online animation video makers can really compete with handcrafted animated videos.
Here are my quick thoughts:-
Powtoon is by far the best web video app that lets you create great animated content in three easy steps.
You can use Powtoon templates to make videos for websites, social media, presentations, blogs, and more.
The best part about them is the awesome collection of templates and their easy-to-use user interface.
I was able to create this video in just few minutes:

I also found its asset library (which includes backgrounds, videos, etc.) better than the rest.
As described, Canva is a free online graphic design software that allows users to create beautiful images without any coding knowledge.
It does give you the option to create videos.
But I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the templates.
The user interface also gets a tad too complicated for marketers like us.
Animaker says it’s a free online tool that lets you create professional animation.
However, you cannot use the video at all– even with a watermark– until you upgrade.
It has a better video template collection than Canva, but far behind Powtoon in terms of quality.
Compare this Animaker sample I created with the same content as I did on Powtoon.
Biteable is more of a video editing web app that’s easy to use. It has a simple interface, too.
You can just upload your script, simply drag and drop images, texts, and other elements into the timeline and click "Create".
It's also more expensive than many other options on the market.
Here is the basic video I created using Biteable.
Doratoon is another online software that lets you create professional-looking animated videos with just a few clicks.
But again, I wasn’t too impressed with the collection of templates. The user interface was not efficient, either.
Probably the worst part is that their branded logo on free videos is so huge, you can’t see much of the video itself.
So if you’re looking for high-quality custom animated videos contact Broadcast2World.
But on the other hand, if your only option is free animation video maker software, we’d recommend that Powtoon is a good place to start!
